How We Work

Activating Opportunity and Realizing Potential.

We Have a Unique Approach

Our commitment to creating systemic change – through a combination of financial sophistication and personal compassion – guides our approach to solving the biggest challenges of social and economic inequity.

By striving for real and lasting change, CRF and its partners are helping create innovative solutions to universal challenges by enabling better access to capital, catalyzing financial ecosystems, and promoting best practices through policy and advocacy.

CRF USA’s approach combines Access to Capital and Catalyzed Ecosystems, together with Policy and Advocacy

ENABLING BETTER ACCESS TO CAPITAL.

It’s hard for many small business owners – particularly people of color – to obtain a loan. We work to orchestrate the flow of capital from investors to small businesses, leveraging the distribution capabilities of our community lending partners and creating responsible financing solutions to improve access to otherwise unavailable capital.

CATALYZING ALL PHASES OF THE FINANCE ECOSYSTEM.

In an effort to create persistent change, CRF brings together community leaders, financial institutions, foundations and more to create new strategies and technologies that build stronger local economies, create jobs and support economic mobility. We work to coordinate and improve awareness of capital and resources in communities while growing the capacity and capabilities of local lenders and support organizations.

PROMOTING BEST PRACTICES THROUGH POLICY AND ADVOCACY

CRF has been on the front lines of public advocacy for community development since its inception. We assist with the structuring of policies that encourage investment in underserved areas and advocate for federal and state government programs that provide equitable access to capital.
