Front End Developer

POSITION SUMMARY

Community Reinvestment Fund’s mission is to improve lives through innovative financial solutions.

The Connect2Capital team helps small businesses connect to a network of community lenders that offer transparent and responsible financing options designed to help them grow and thrive. Connect2Capital simplifies the business loan process for those who may be deemed ineligible for traditional financing options, without resorting to high-priced alternatives.

As a member of the Connect2Capital product team, you will work on building, extending, and maintaining front end applications written in React. Additionally, you help build new static marketing websites for various short-term and long-term partnerships.

This position may be fully remote and will not require face to face client and/or staff interaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain React/TypeScript frontends
  • Develop new static web properties
  • Develop marketing website and integration with CMS
  • Develop unit test suites for mission-critical front ends
  • Implement accessibility features
  • Develop shared UI library/storybook for use in multiple frontends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience preferred
  • 2+ Years experience with modern React
  • In-depth familiarity with Javascript/HTML/CSS
  • Experience with common React libraries (state management, routing, etc)
  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Experience building single-page-applications (SPAs)
  • Experience with building interactive charts/graphs and dashboards
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Storybook and component-driven UIs
  • Experience working with Webpack, Babel (and/or others such as Parcel)
  • Desire to improve A11Y fundamentals of our applications
  • Experience with compile-to-CSS languages & frameworks (LESS, Sass, or CSS-in-JS)
