Loan Production Administrator

Department: CRF Small Business Lending

Location: Minneapolis, MN with the flexibility for remote or hybrid work

POSITION SUMMARY

CRF Loan Production Administrator is responsible to provide administrative and technical support for the Small Business lending group, with most of the activity in support of the Loan Approval and Packaging and Closing Process. Support provided includes, but is not limited to ordering/reviewing reports, file organization and maintenance, process and template creation, assist with secondary market loan sales, and loan closing assistance. The ideal Loan Production Administrator candidate will be extremely organized, able to manage multiple tasks at the same time and provide efficient and effective communication to external and internal customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Loan Approval Administrative Support

Sales

  • Responsible for double checking for accurate information and ordering upfront reports before packages are submitted to Underwriting
  • Conducting a preliminary review of reports once received and alerting the Underwriter of any issue
  • Ensuring final reports are uploaded to the correct system of record
  • Track the issuance and receiving of Commitment letters, including forwarding checks to finance and recording in the system of record

Support for Underwriters

  • Maintaining a nationwide data base of qualified vendors, and reaching out to identify new vendors as needed
  • Accurately ordering of reports necessary to complete conditions of Underwriting Approval, including Appraisals, Appraisal Reviews, Business Valuations, and Environmental Reports

Closing

  • Ordering reports necessary to Package and Close a loan, including, Broker Price Opinions, Flood Determinations, Owners & Encumbrance Reports, and Tax Transcripts
  • Ensure all invoices and fees are properly accounted for in the system of record
  • Responsible for CRF’s Paper File Management process and vendors
  • Review and Organize loans into the required SBA-22 Tab
  • Determine packaging needs list
  • Prepare SBA Forms 1919 and 1920
  • Send all required closing document to the applicant for signature
  • Prepare SBA Authorization
  • Track and move loans through the system of record
  • Prepare closing documents as required

Secondary Market Sales

  • Create Loan Sale Template, confirming accuracy and completion
  • Send to secondary market sales vendor for bidding
  • Communicate bid acceptance and save bid results
  • Work with investors to answer any questions and correct any issues that arise
  • Follow up with finance once the sale is complete
  • Complete the system of record to move the loan to final settlement

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Certification(s)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, and Finance, or related field or a combination of education and experience

Experience

  • Three to five years of business experience involving the administration of multiple tasks
  • Thorough knowledge of lending products, specifically SBA 7a products, to include the regulations and requirements surrounding the documents and process
  • Experience in collateral documentation including SBA 7a specific documentation is highly desirable
  • Knowledge and understanding of compliance review and credit policies
  • Strong customer service skills
