Nick Elders is responsible for CRF’s information technology group, which includes establishing, planning and administering the overall policies and goals of the information technology function at CRF, and leading the organization’s application development function. With technological innovation a key priority for CRF, Elders’ role is critical to achieving the organization’s goal of transforming the community development finance system.
In-line with his personal goals of helping the underserved and optimizing the community development system, Elders leads the growing entrepreneurial team behind CRF’s Technology Services offerings. These two leading and innovative small business-focused platforms – Connect2Capital and SPARK – are ushering in a new wave of innovation, capacity and capabilities for mission-based lenders.
Elders started at CRF as an intern in 2002 and since has held a variety of roles performing many functions within the organization including fundraising, business analysis, process improvement, technology infrastructure design and implementation, software development, sales and operational consulting. Elders earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Macalester College, is a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, and holds an Economic Development Financial Professional (EDFP) certification from the National Development Council.
