NYC Small Business Opportunity Fund Impact Report

See how partnership delivers results at scale.

The NYC Department of Small Business Services has released a new Impact Report on the NYC Small Business Opportunity Fund, the largest public-private initiative of its kind in New York City. The report shows what coordinated action can achieve when lenders, funders, and city leadership align around clear goals and effective execution.

As program administrator for this $85 million initiative, Community Reinvestment Fund, USA (CRF) worked alongside NYC SBS, Goldman Sachs, Mastercard Center for Growth, and eight CDFIs—Accompany Capital, Ascendus, BOC Capital, Grow America, Harlem Entrepreneurial Fund, Pursuit, Renaissance, and TruFund—to deliver capital across the city through a streamlined, borrower-focused approach.

What the report highlights:

  • A coordinated model that scaled quickly across multiple lenders
  • Practical program design that reduced friction for applicants
  • Measurable outcomes driven by shared standards
