Kimberly Latimer-Nelligan serves as President of the Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF), a leading Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) with an “A” rating from S&P, $1 billion in assets under management, and more than $3.5 billion invested in community projects since its founding in 1984.
In her role, Ms. Latimer-Nelligan oversees all of LIIF’s lending, investing, and programmatic activities — including structured products, national markets, credit risk, and lending operations — as well as the organization’s strategic initiatives. Under her leadership, LIIF has launched new program areas in fresh food access, community health, and transit-oriented development, and has expanded its national footprint with lending offices in Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, GA. LIIF’s lending business has deployed over $1 billion in capital over the past four years in support of affordable housing, schools, health clinics, and early care and education facilities.
Ms. Latimer-Nelligan is a recognized leader in Early Care and Education (ECE) finance. LIIF brings more than 25 years of expertise in this space, and under her oversight, the ECE business has invested over $500 million to create and preserve child care spaces for more than 400,000 children and their families.
Prior to joining LIIF in 2008, Ms. Latimer-Nelligan spent more than 20 years at Citigroup, most recently as Managing Director of National Lending and Investments, where she oversaw a $3 billion business within Citibank Community Development. She currently serves on the Board of the Community Reinvestment Fund, USA and has served on the Board of Raza Development Fund. Ms. Latimer-Nelligan holds a B.A. in Economics from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
