Manager, Impact Reporting

About the Position

The Manager, Impact Reporting, is responsible for the operational administration, data integrity, impact reporting, and participation lending support functions that ensure Small Business Lending activities are accurately documented, governed, reconciled, and reportable.  This role ensures adherence to federal, grant, and impact investment requirements, oversees reporting accuracy and timeliness, and partners cross-functionally to maintain reporting integrity and audit readiness. This role is responsible for monitoring the loan application process and pipeline of transactions as they navigate the in-take process. The role assesses CRF loan offerings and impact evaluation measurements for CRF’s CDFI certification. The role is also accountable for researching and collecting market data and conditions to enhance business development opportunities for CRF’s loan participation programs.  Applies quantitative analysis, including mathematical and statistical methods to evaluate financial health, and potential lending alternatives to enhance impact. Travel to Minneapolis may be required a few times a year for meetings.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Impact Reporting & Data Governance

  • Manage and support all impact and reporting activities, including CDFI SBL reporting, FA Award reporting, TLR, grant and funder reporting, board and leadership reporting.
  • Manage and complete federal government reporting requirements for CDFI Fund reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data submissions.
  • Prepares analyses on impact opportunities or strategies to identify trends and recommend actions for the organization.
  • Mines, processes, and analyzes internal and external data using KPIs, business results, industry sources, competitor intelligence, and customer information. Utilizes mathematical formulas and statistical analyses to identify potential opportunities and calculates and evaluates impact.
  • Maintain and prepare finance-related reporting records required for audits, CDFI Fund compliance, and organizational reporting.
  • Ensure data quality and reporting readiness across systems, with key accountabilities in CRM; including reconciliation, validation, document control, and audit evidence.
  • Responsible for ensuring organization is in compliance with CDFI Fund award reporting requirements.
  • Develops/supports enterprise-wide tools, systems, and applications needed for impact reporting.

 

Participation Lending Administration & Support

  • Lead Intake, process coordination, and reporting-readiness support for participation loans and loan-to-lender activity,
  • Documents & coordinates partner relationships.
  • Ensures underwriting and closing readiness.
  • Manages participation pipeline.
  • Assist with the creation of Small Business customer experience strategy, goals, plans and measures.

 

Operational Governance & Compliance

  • Lead compliance and reporting for CDFI Fund–administered programs and other funder relationships. Responsibilities include monitoring compliance milestones, drafting investor reports, and ensuring data quality.
  • Manage annual federal vendor registration renewals and maintain eligibility requirements
  • Manage tracking of Fund awards.
  • Creates and maintains appropriate documentation to support CDFI Fund award performance in partnership with Finance and Internal Audit Departments.
  • Manages risk identified in CDFI Fund. Lead annual recertification process.
  • Reviews workflows, processes and documentation for continuous improvement opportunities.

About You

Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing or related course of study with a minimum of ten years of related job experience. Should include significant work on building financial models, understanding and interpreting data to recommend solutions and be well versed in CDFI compliance and impact reporting.

Be familiar with and have a willingness to work with computer technology. Have an understanding of computer hardware, the abilities and limitations of computer software packages and how to work within those limits. Intermediate level proficiency and experience with the Internet, social media, Microsoft Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Loan origination systems, and the following software: Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Office 365.

Key Competencies & Preferences

CDFI reporting experience, data management & analytics and data mining.  Expertise working with technology that collects impact data.

$110k to $130k Annually (exempt)
