Supporting business expansion
Alise Jarvis loves dogs but like many animal-lovers, struggled to find places where she could bring her furry friends. She started Sidewalk Dog to provide a local guide featuring dog-friendly places, activities, events, and much more.
The business was gaining traction quickly but needed financing to grow to the next stage. Conventional financing wasn’t an option due to the online nature of the business, which created a collateral shortfall.
Alise found CRF who saw a motivated entrepreneur working to create a better experience for humans and their best friends. CRF was able to approve a $106,000 working capital loan to help the business jump to the next stage and begin expanding nationally.
Because of CRF’s financing, one living-wage job was created and Sidewalk Dog was able to move to a shared working space while expanding their digital presence. Now, the online guide is taking off in four U.S. cities with more to follow!
