Community Reinvestment Fund, USA (CRF) is excited to announce that it recently elected Jie Wang to its Board of Trustees.
Jie has more than 25 years of experience in new business creation, strategic planning, product marketing, and business operations. She is currently launching a fintech services start-up company focused on effectively investing in economic development projects in low-income and underserved communities.
“Jie’s innovative spirit, extensive experience in technology and financial services, and commitment to serving historically underrepresented communities align perfectly with CRF’s mission,” said Matthew Roth, President and CEO of CRF. “We are honored to welcome her to our Board and look forward to the unique perspectives she will bring to our work and our continued efforts to create a more equitable small business ecosystem.”
Prior to her current business venture, Jie spent 15 years at IntraFi where she was the senior director and head of Assetpoint, a nationwide marketplace for a variety of bank assets. Jie also led IntraFi’s socially responsible investing effort, which included the Banking on Communities campaign to help community banks attract deposits – funding that can then be used to make loans in underserved communities.
Before IntraFi, Jie led and managed product strategy and business development efforts in communications technology companies ranging from Fortune 100s to technology start-ups. She received her BS in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from Stanford University.
