On January 5, 2022, CRF Founder and CEO Frank Altman testified before the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Housing, Transportation, and Community Development during the hearing entitled, “Exploring How Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) Support Underserved Communities.”
Altman was one of three subcommittee witnesses, joining John Holdsclaw IV, president of the CDFI Coalition and Lakota Vogel, executive director at Four Bands Community Fund.
The Senate Subcommittee on Housing, Transportation, and Community Development is a subcommittee of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and oversees numerous government programs, including the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). “Exploring How Community Development Financial Institutions Support Underserved Communities” was conducted remotely, and a recording of the hearing can be found below.
