Story Overview

For family-owned Aspen Roofing in Salt Lake City, Utah, the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic was felt acutely and immediately. During what should be the busiest time for roofing projects, the company saw its number of estimates and jobs decline rapidly in March 2020.

While considering downsizing its workforce of roofers and support personnel, owners Jonathan and Ryan Brady sought any help they could find to aid in keeping employees, many of whom had been with the company since its beginning in 2005. Applying for a PPP loan was the best option – without it, the company may have had to furlough workers.

With a PPP loan, Aspen Roofing kept its loyal employees and continued its existing projects. In addition to its regular projects, the company also takes pride in its longstanding partnership with Habitat for Humanity to provide services for those who need them the most.

Holding on to our staff and continuing to provide our services has helped many more than just ourselves. That is what matters most.
