At CRF, we believe access to healthy food should be a right.
We help finance organizations such as Houston Food Bank, which distributes more than 74 million nutritious meals per year. We also work with others to develop creative ways to finance access to healthy food. As members of Advocates for the Good Food Access Fund, we are participating in an effort to create a Good Food Access Fund in Minnesota.
An editorial in the May 17 Duluth News Tribune outlines some of the challenges surrounding access to healthy foods and the solutions being implemented in Duluth. CRF Community Development Officer Lance Knuckles is quoted about the need to expand access throughout the state.
